Solid boats - canoes and kayaks
We lend only polyethylene canoes and kayaks.
Vydra canoe - V
A canoe with excellent sailing qualities, a Czech product which has not got a competitor, yet. A sport canoe we recommend for a longer trip. You can comfortably place two barrels in the boat. The canoe has a covered front and back which enables going down the weirs without getting wet. We do not recommend this boat to real beginners who are not sporty and want to go only for a short trip.
Basta canoe - B, Ardechois canoe - A
These are wider canoes with a flat bottom. These canoes are more stable and suitable for the beginners for a one day trip. There can be comfortably placed 2 or 3 barrels. The canoes usually have an uncovered front and back which causes flooding of the boat when going down the weirs.
Three-seated canoes Tukan - S and Turan - T
The three-seated canoes are as big as the two-seated ones. They have only one more seat in the middle. The canoes are suitable for 2 adults and 1-2 children. We do not recommend for 3 adults.
Inflatable boats - rafts
We offer to rent big rafts - R - River Otter, Colorado, Ultimate
Palava boats - P for 2 people
We cannot speak about rafting because the Vltava river has not so much water and is not so difficult. The advantage of using a raft is in its simplicity. Even the real beginner is able to handle the raft. The paddles are more used to handle the raft than to drive it. Most boatmen usually let the raft go with the flow. The disadvantage of going by raft is the risk of damage when you strike a stone or a sharp object. But the greatest danger threatens when you leave the raft on the sun too long. It is important to check the pressure and if necessary, let the air out.
We will change the raft in case of damage but you will have to pay for its repair.
When renting a raft for more days, follow these rules given by the producer
1. Do not overload the rafts.
2. If you strike the ground or a stone, lighten the raft and unblock it.
3. Do not inflate the rafts too much.
4. Do not leave the rafts on the sun too long, check the pressure and let the air out
to prevent the damage.
Paddles
The price also includes the paddles. We own certified paddles Profiplast and TNP in various lengths. These are paddles with duralumin poles and plastic blades.
